Sockits are a circular product with a 25-year guarantee

Designed for longevity, not landfill

The socket industry still treats wiring devices as disposable - fitted once, replaced entirely, and sent to landfill. That approach no longer makes sense. Today, recycling and responsible consumption are expected, not optional.

Repairable

Sockits are built differently. Made from high-quality, durable polycarbonate instead of the usual urea plastic, they’re tougher, longer-lasting, and made without the toxic byproducts of traditional plastics. They’re also modular, upgradeable, and repairable. Standard sockets can be converted to USB, and USB modules can be removed, repaired, recycled, or replaced without touching the socket body. As new USB formats emerge, Sockits are designed to evolve rather than become obsolete.

Upgradable

This moves away from the old take-make-waste model towards a circular approach: recycled, replaceable, repairable. Components can be returned for upgrades or refurbishment, and we’re making more considered choices around packaging and shipping to reduce environmental impact.

Replaceable

We’re realistic, and we don’t claim to be perfect. Our products are made overseas, so like the rest of the industry, our carbon footprint is heavier than we’d like. What we do claim is responsibility - for materials, design, lifespan, and creating a system that keeps products in use longer.

Realistic

This is our starting point, not our finish line. Sockits are the first step in making sockets truly modular, replaceable and upgradeable - a sustainable choice without compromise on durability, performance or price.

For now, we'll settle for this: no Sockit should end up in landfill.
